Terms of Service

By creating a Torqbox account or using the Torqbox app or website (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Torqtech, Inc. (“Torqbox”, “we”, “us”).

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA/UK) to use the Service. By using the Service in a professional capacity you represent that you have authority to do so on behalf of your business.

You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate registration information. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any law or third-party right.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our underlying models, prompts, or training data.
• Resell the Service, route the Service through proxies, or operate it as a public API for third parties.
• Upload content you do not have the right to use, including copyrighted service manuals you have not licensed.
• Probe, scan, or attempt to disrupt the integrity of the Service or any related infrastructure.

The Service uses large language models to generate diagnostic suggestions based on your input and on retrieved documents. Outputs are probabilistic and may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You are responsible for verifying any answer against authoritative service documentation, OEM bulletins, and your professional judgment before acting on it. Torqbox is a reference tool, not a substitute for a qualified mechanic.

You retain ownership of the questions, photos, documents, and other content you submit (“Your Content”). You grant Torqbox a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and process Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service for you. We do not use Your Content to train external models.

Some features may require a paid subscription. Pricing, cancellation, and refund terms are presented at the point of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. App Store and Play Store purchases are governed by the policies of those marketplaces.

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from in-app settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if continued service poses a risk to us, our users, or our subprocessors. On termination, the license to use the Service ends; sections 5, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that diagnostic outputs will be accurate or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Torqbox and its officers, employees, and subprocessors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) US $100.

You agree to indemnify and hold Torqbox harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
